Singapore is trending again, and this time it’s not about food or Formula 1. A Japanese TikToker, @naofromjapan_, has gone viral for saying Singapore is “less of a place to play and more of a place to make money,” even though fewer companies are planning to increase salaries in the months ahead.
Her video, which has racked up over 100,000 views, struck a nerve. She argued that while salaries are higher than in Japan, layoffs are common and life can feel “boring.”
