GTA VI PlayStation 5 controllers announced

Sony has unveiled not one but two new controllers to celebrate the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI at its recent State of Play event – the DualSense Wireless Controller – Grand Theft Auto VI Black Limited Edition and its White Limited Edition counterpart are both inspired by Vice City, the neon-lit destination at the heart of GTA VI’s fictional state of Leonida.

Design-wise, both two controllers share the same shimmering, colour-shifting finish Sony says “brings together the hues of a Vice City sunset and the glow of neon lights”. There are even custom palm tree details molded directly onto the controller.

The main difference is naturally their choice of base colour. Sony says the white version takes its inspiration from Vice City during the day, including its white sand, pastel skies and laid-back glamour. The black edition, on the other hand, veers into the city’s nightlife.

Other than their cosmetic changes, these appear to be the same DualSense controllers already supplied with the PS5. GTA VI will, however, make use of their haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, with resistance and vibrations changing in response to the action during Jason and Lucia’s story.

Availability and pricing

Both controllers will be released in Singapore on 19 November, the same day that Grand Theft Auto VI launches for PS5. Each one carries an SRP of S$115, compared with S$109 for a regular DualSense controller.
