The traveler, who posts as @therealpercius, said in a 47-second TikTok video posted Aug. 16 that immigration had taken him about two hours in China and roughly an hour in South Korea, Singapore news site Mothership reported.
He also praised the MRT rail network as fast and free of delays. “Europe is more than 20 years behind Singapore,” he said in the video.
Spanish nationals enter Singapore visa-free for 90 days and must file an SG Arrival Card within three days of arrival.
They have also been able to enter China without a visa for stays of up to 30 days since December 2023, an arrangement Beijing extended through the end of 2026.
Singapore’s Immigration and Checkpoints Authority allows all travelers, including first-time foreign visitors, to use automated lanes at Changi Airport without prior enrollment.
The agency expects the arrangement, part of a border overhaul it calls the New Clearance Concept, to cut clearance times at passenger halls by about 40%. It has said 95% of travelers would be able to use automated lanes by early 2026.
