A 29-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs following an accident along Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) on Tuesday (Aug 25).
He was seen in a video being restrained by another man when he tried to escape and appeared to have thrown a vape item over the expressway bridge.
Footage of the incident, posted to TikTok by user JustPlayProduction on Tuesday, shows two men struggling on the BKE as one attempts to restrain the other.
The man being restrained is seen grabbing onto the bridge and fighting the other man before he manages to throw a small item off the bridge.
According to the TikTok user, the man being restrained had crashed into a Mercedes-Benz GLS along the expressway.
The driver of the Mercedes car, who provided the user with the footage, said that he noticed the reckless driver “shaking violently with slurred speech” when he confronted him.
