Singapore’s Lengkok Bahru murder: Man accused of killing neighbour taken back to crime scene


SINGAPORE: The 59-year-old accused of murdering his neighbour at Block 55 Lengkok Bahru on July 20 was brought back to the crime scene by police on Tuesday (Aug 25).

On July 22, Ng Swee Seng was charged with the murder of Thiyagarajan Karunakaran, also 59.

Police were alerted to the incident at around 5pm on July 20 and found Thiyagarajan lying motionless at a lift lobby on the 16th floor. He was taken to the National University Hospital, and died later.

On Aug 25, a handcuffed Ng wearing a red polo T-shirt, and shorts arrived at 9.20am, with restraints around his feet, in a black van flanked by several officers.
