Eagle-eyed GTA 6 fans noticed that recent clips of the game show the passage of time, with six seconds in real life equaling one in-game minute. This means it would take just over two hours — 144 minutes — for a full day and night cycle to pass in GTA 6.

In Red Dead Redemption 2, hunting could be impacted by the time of day, with certain animals more likely to appear during specific segments. The western also featured dynamic weather events, like thunderstorms and overcast skies. Among other things, Florida is known for its microclimates — so weather could have a more pronounced impact on GTA 6. Rockstar’s gotta show off those fancy mud physics somehow!
