Four years after it was first announced, Kingdom Hearts 4 finally has something resembling a release date. Square Enix and Disney confirmed during the recent D23 2026 event that the game is expected to arrive in late 2027.
Don’t get your hopes high for now though, as it is still a fairly broad window – and the situation is still fluid – but at least fans and gamers now have some idea of when they will be able to continue Sora’s story. The previous mainline entry, Kingdom Hearts 3, was released back in 2019, which means the eventual waiting period between both games will be close to nine years.
