Samsung’s latest washer-dryer combo uses AI to choose cycles that keeps clothes fresh

Samsung’s 2026 washer-dryer combo is now available in Singapore, and they are here to make laundry no longer a chore.

In its latest iteration, the 2026 washer and dryer combo features a 7-inch AI Home Smart Screen panel with intuitive touchscreen controls. Besides adjusting its basic functions and settings, the panel provides key washing information, such as usage habits, cycle suggestions, and other timely details, to help you understand what the unit needs. It’s also the first Samsung washer-dryer combo with AI Home to come in a White colourway.

Like many Samsung smart appliances, it’s also compatible with its proprietary SmartThings app. There, you can see its energy and water consumption, monitor it when you’re not at home, or start a new load remotely. To make the experience smoother, it’s also compatible with natural language voice commands via Bixby, letting you ask things like remaining time to completion or to add an extra rinse to an ongoing cycle.

A new feature of this unit is AI Energy Mode, which monitors the washer-dryer combo’s energy consumption in daily, weekly, and monthly blocks. It also triggers its AI Ecobubble technology, using bubbles instead of higher wash temperatures (and helping lower energy costs at the household level).

This model also includes previous popular mainstay features in Samsung’s smart washing machines. AI Wash+’s fabric recognition now includes outdoor-type and denim-type fabrics, bringing the total to five detectable fabric types. The sensors also weigh the wash load, automatically adjust detergent and water levels, and detect cleanliness during each cycle. Flex Auto Dispense supports two detergent compartments and increased capacity. This lets the user dispense softener from one compartment and detergent from the other, with up to 12 loads before needing a refill.
