Xpeng sales double year-on-year in Singapore in July.
New car sales in Singapore gain 7.1% year-on-year in July to 4,953 units. This is a particularly strong result given July 2025 was already up 18.1% on the year prior. The year-to-date tally is up a sturdy 12.3% to 32,097. BYD (+25%) continues to easily dominate the brands charts and ranks #1 for the 19th month in row. Toyota (-19.9%) is back above Tesla (+66.9%) to #2 despite a harsh YoY fall. Mercedes (-21.6%) and Honda (-47.1%) both hit a wall and round out the Top 5. Unsurprisingly, the Chinese monopolise the biggest year-on-year gains. GAC (+166.7%), MG (+106.2%), Xpeng (+98.8%) and Chery (+66.7%) fare best in the Top 10 while below, AvatR (+7100%), Geely (+1800%), Dongfeng (+985.7%), Great Wall (+800%), Deepal (+570%), Maxus (+216.7%) and Zeekr (+170%) make themselves noticed. All in all Chinese manufacturers surge 79.1% year-on-year to 2,473 sales and 49.9% share vs. 29.9% a year ago in July 2025.
