This is still one Singapore’s best kept secret spots for some of the tastiest fine dining dishes! Ce Soir plays on Asian flavours blended with french techniques and fresh Japanese produce, all brought together by Chef Seth Lai who was the winner of the MICHELIN Guide Young Chef Award 2024! We went down for the 8 Course Dinner Seasonal Tasting Menu ($228) that started with our appetisers being served up within a model of Chef Seth’s childhood home, dishing out a Wagyu Tart, Foie Gras with Mandarin, and a sweet Obsiblue Prawn balanced with Shiso! Every dish was honestly impressive, from the heartwarming Wintermelon Soup, to the Madai that was served with an amazingly deep nutty ume kosho and peanut paste! But I was obsessed with the combination of the Signature Seaweed Bread alongside the Lobster paired with Chick Pea Miso and Roasted Kelp with Yellow Wine! But a signature here is undoubtedly the 5 Grains Claypot Rice! This round it was made with Petai XO, adding the slightest fermented note to the mix of textures, adding an extremely addictive aroma to each bite alongside the crispy fried ayu fish! 📍 Ce Soir Restaurant, 5B Portsdown Rd, Singapore 139311 #sgfoodie #wheretoeat #finedining #creatorsearchinsights #singaporerestaurants
