You might remember Palworld, the survival game where you tame cute monsters to do your bidding. You might also remember that the game’s developers, Pocketpair, are currently entangled in a lawsuit with Nintendo and The Pokemon Company, the makers of another game where you tame cute monsters to do your bidding.
Of course, both Palworld and Pokemon are incredibly different games beyond the superficial premises. And while the lawsuit has yet to conclude, and with Palworld as popular as ever, Pocketpair apparently considers itself in a strong enough position to begin licensing the IP to other publishers.
Enter Garena, which has announced that it’s developing and publishing Palworld Online, an open-world survival game that sees Palworld’s gameplay transplanted into an MMORPG setting.
