Young hawker Tan Jing Herng has a degree in engineering from NUS. Born in a hawker family, with his parents selling yong tau foo and his uncle serving duck rice, Jing Herng reckons: “I guess I have the hawker blood in me.” He started out working at the Shiok Hokkien Mee chain before branching out to open his own stall, where he now offers ‘herng hao chi’ Hokkien mee with a kosong option that only has noodles and pork lard in rich prawn broth! #8dayseathawker #hokkienmee #sgfoodie #foodtok #sgfyp
