As a Teochew Singaporean, some of these were dishes I ate growing up but have become harder to find these days. Anyone still remembers the crystal dumplings (水晶包) at Tiong Bahru market back when it was still a rundown single storey market!? Or the pig trotter jelly 猪脚冻 at the old Ellenborough market? Gosh I’m really getting old. 😅 Good authentic Teochew food these days seem to be available only in pricier Teochew restaurants so I was delighted to find them in this budget friendly eatery that doesn’t charge GST and service charge. Try it for yourself and let me know what you think!
