All of Hong Kong and Macau are gearing up for a week of mixology festivities as Asia’s 50 Best Bars looks to descend on our sister SAR for its second year, announcing this year’s list next Tuesday.
In the days before and after, both Macau and Hong Kong will be flush with the region’s top mixologists, either here to receive awards or soak in the cities – or to take over many of our city’s world-class bars. From mega shifts like at Argo or Wing Lei Bar to unique one-off shifts featuring bars from Mongolia, Nepal, Phnom Penh and, of course, Singapore, Bangkok and Seoul, here are the guest shifts this week you don’t want to miss.

Green Room x Three x Co
Ranked the No 15 best bar in Asia last year, Kuala Lumpur’s Three X Co is heading all the way up to the 49th floor of Upper House to take over Green Room for one night only. Represented this time by bar manager Rachel Hor and senior bartender Chris Ang, Three X Co focuses on contemporary cocktails such as those from its IndiVDuality menu. The Quiet Quinn riffs on the martini with a Tanqueray 10 base, a chrysanthemum infusion and Yzaguirre Dry Reserva Spanish vermouth, topped with orange bitters and grapefruit zest.
