The official map and all points of interest for the new Battlefield 6 Battle Royale game, known officially as Battlefield REDSEC, have now been released. As fans finally get to go hands-on with Battlefield REDSEC alongside Battlefield 6‘s big Season 1 update, EA has released the full Battle Royale map, called Fort Lyndon, set in a fictional area of Southern California. In total, the map has twenty major locations, otherwise known as points of interest, for players to check out.
After four years, the Battlefield franchise finally returned on October 10 with its latest smash-hit entry, Battlefield 6. The shooter quickly took the FPS genre by storm, raking in more than 747,000 concurrent players on Steam alone and selling more than 7 million copies in just 3 days, according to publisher EA. Now, less than 3 weeks after its release, Battlefield 6 is looking to make its mark in the Battle Royale genre with a new free-to-play title known as Battlefield REDSEC.
Battlefield REDSEC Map and All POIs
As Season 1 of Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC is now officially live, EA and DICE have given fans the full Battle Royale map and all points of interest for Fort Lyndon. According to DICE, it is not only the biggest Battlefield 6 map so far, but it’s the biggest Battlefield map ever, with twenty different locations for players to jump into. Fort Lyndon takes place in a fictional area of Southern California and features a broad mix of environments, from industrial wastelands to urban areas to a massive coastline. Fort Lyndon offers more than enough varied locations to keep players engaged as they aim to secure their first win today.
A major selling point of Battlefield REDSEC, sure to set it apart from the likes of Call of Duty: Warzone, Apex Legends, and other Battle Royale titles, is its deadly storm circle. While the aforementioned games, as well as many others within the genre, feature encroaching rings that deal damage to players, Battlefield REDSEC‘s storm is fair deadlier. As the 100-player matches progress, a fire will engulf the map, destroying everything that it touches and eliminating players instantaneously if they step foot in it. As many players often use storm circles to their advantage in order to rotate across the map, REDSEC‘s twist is sure to add a completely different element to the Battle Royale genre.
Those who are eager to check out the new Battlefield 6 Battle Royale can download Battlefield REDSEC right now for free. The title is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with progression tied to Battlefield 6. So, for those who already own the latest entry in the series, all of your weapons and cosmetic items are now available to use in REDSEC.
