Secretlab has unveiled the new Magnus Evo Sit-to-Stand Desk, making it the third addition to its Magnus line of gaming desks. The Singapore-based company says the Magnus Evo is essentially a re-engineered version of the flagship Magnus Pro, bringing alongside some refined aesthetics and a new cable management system.
For starters, the rear of the Magnus Evo now features a full-width steel panel that provides a magnetic surface for Secretlab’s Magnus accessories – such as the cable anchors and headphone holder. Beneath the desktop sits a redesigned cable tray positioned along the centre axis of the desk. This means you’ll be managing your cables underneath, rather than behind the desk like on the older Magnus and Magnus Pro. From my experience with the earlier Magnus tables, this setup makes cable management a lot easier since you don’t have to move anything sitting on the tabletop. The tray itself can also tilt open at a 30-degree angle without spilling its contents, and it uses a tactile magnetic latch that snaps shut neatly with one hand.
