A man was so upset by a couple behaving affectionately with each other in a public place that he took videos of them.
Stomper Anonymous shared the videos taken from different angles of the couple on bench at a Tampines Street 34 playground on Oct 21.
“Not to shame them,” he said. “That is a very open-ended question, but kissing and hugging in public amounts to a public display of affection (PDA).
“Singapore is still a conservative nation unlike the liberal west. Hugging and kissing in a public place is not illegal, but it may be viewed as inappropriate or disrespectful, especially this was in a children’s playground in an HDB precinct.”
He has a message for the couple.
“It is always best to avoid PDA or restrict it to some private area,” said the Stomper. “You may not mind a hundred eyes looking at you, but the public may mind.
