Yap is the first Singaporean gymnast to qualify for the balance beam final at the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics Championships. She places sixth with a personal best score of 13.333 points in the eight-athlete final. Yap took part in the balance beam qualification on Monday (Oct. 20) and flew back to Singapore the next day (Oct. 21) to sit for her O-level examination on Oct. 22.
