Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 leak ahead of event

With less than 48 hours to go before Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event, a last-minute leak appears to have revealed both the design and key specifications of the upcoming Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.

The leak, shared by well-known tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks), suggests Samsung is opting for refinement rather than a dramatic redesign. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 retains the distinctive “squarcle” design and is said to feature a titanium chassis that is 12% thinner than the current model.

While the overall design may look familiar, the hardware upgrades appear more substantial. According to the leak, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will offer an IP69K durability rating, an improvement over the IP68 certification of the original model. The smartwatch is also tipped to feature a display capable of reaching 5,000 nits of peak brightness, up from 3,000 nits, which should make it considerably easier to read under direct sunlight.
