SINGAPORE – A 37-year-old man is set to be charged after he allegedly acted hostile and aggressive toward police officers, then swung a weapon at one of them, near an HDB block in Bedok in the early hours of Oct 27.
Police officers were patrolling the vicinity of Block 12 Bedok South Avenue 2 at about 2.30am when they spotted a car parked at the passenger drop-off point of the block, police said.
When the officers checked on the male driver, he became hostile and aggressive.
He also allegedly swung a karambit – a small, curved knife – at one of them and then held it against his own neck.
