New 185-room hotel to open on NUS campus in Kent Ridge in first half of 2026

The hotel will sit right next to the NUS Society Kent Ridge Guild House, and hotel guests will have the option of using some of the facilities, including a 50m pool and a 5,800 sq ft fitness centre.

Hotel guests will also be able to tap high-speed internet, round-the-clock concierge services, and use a meeting facility for in-house conferences.

NUS accommodation now includes the Kent Vale Residences in Clementi Road – which are mainly flats for faculty members, visitors to the university, and conference participants.

A sub-contractor involved in the project posted photos of the hotel room’s furnishings on Instagram in September, which have since been deleted, reported Chinese daily Lianhe Zaobao on Oct 27.

The closest hotels to the NUS campus now are in the Pasir Panjang Road area, near what NUS students call the “supper stretch” of eateries selling food and drinks late into the night.

In response to queries from The Straits Times, an NUS spokesperson said: “We will share more information when the campus hotel is officially launched.”
