SINGAPORE, 25 October 2025 – The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) coordinated the delivery of humanitarian aid supplies to Vietnam in response to a series of destructive typhoons that caused widespread damage and loss of life. The aid operation, conducted at the request of the Vietnamese government, reflected Singapore’s continued commitment to supporting regional partners in times of need.

The operation was led by the Changi Regional Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Coordination Centre (Changi RHCC). More than five tonnes of relief supplies were prepared for air transport to Vietnam, consisting of thermal blankets and hygiene kits to meet essential needs. The supplies were contributed by both the SAF and Caritas Humanitarian Aid and Relief Initiatives Singapore (CHARIS), demonstrating effective collaboration between government and civil society.
