1. Mash

Mash is probably one of the first few places you would find when searching for mechanical keyboards in Singapore. Through their online store, you are able to customise your own keyboard before purchasing it. 

They offer a range of keyboard sizes, from full-size to tenkeyless to 80%, down to 65%. You can choose the kind of switches that you want, be it linear, clicky, tactile or silent. You can also pick from a wide range of keycap designs to complete your keyboard’s look.

2. LandingPad

Like Mash, LandingPad also has both an online store and a physical studio for you to browse and customise your keyboards. But they also specifically offer a Starter Series of keyboards, which aims to be more affordable. 

This lowers the barrier of entry for new keyboard enthusiasts, allowing them to dip their toes (or fingers) into mechanical keyboards without a big budget. There is also a Keyboard Workshop you can sign up for if you’d like to learn how to build your own keyboard.

If none of the keyboards here suit your tastes, there is also an option for you to consult the team and commission your very own dream keyboard.

3. The Laboratory by RF

This is a keyboard store I’ve personally visited before. Located at Level 2 of Cineleisure in Orchard, it is hard to miss The Laboratory by RF. What caught my attention immediately was the eye-catching displays of keyboards, switches and keycaps.  

This place seems to be built with the intention of providing customers with a memorable and guided keyboard-building experience. How you would walk through the store to gather parts for your keyboard kind of reminds me of how you would walk through a frozen yoghurt store gathering toppings for your dessert bowl.

4. PantheonKeys

Are you living somewhere near the east of Singapore? Consider checking out PantheonKeys, located at Ubi Techpark. You can purchase pre-built keyboards, buy keyboard components to build your own, or join their Group Buys to pre-order limited edition keyboards.

5. ktechs

Another mechanical keyboard store in the east is ktechs, located at Lorong 23 Geylang. Jumping onto their website, you would immediately notice the variety and uniqueness of the products they offer. 

Just in terms of the types of keyboards, there are already plenty, ranging from full-size to 75% to 60%. There are even split keyboards available to order from time to time. What I also noticed are the special keycap sets and artisan keycaps that they sell.

Perhaps you are not just looking for a new keyboard, but for an entire new setup. You can check out Steed Gaming, which offers products beyond just custom mechanical keyboards. Over here, you can also find mice, desk mats and headphones to complete your gaming or productivity setup.

If you’re not so concerned with the variety of keyboard options, but want a one-stop shop where you can buy multiple products for your “battlestation”, this could be for you. Steed Gaming’s showroom is open from Mondays to Saturdays.

Over here, it is not about customising keyboards, but about browsing a wide range of great products that are pre-built and ready for you to use immediately. If you do not want to be bothered with choosing keyboard layouts, switches, and keycaps, and just want to grab a well-made keyboard off the shelf, this is the place for you. There are different kinds of keyboards to choose from, complete with customisation options you would be familiar with by now. They also offer low-profile keyboards for those of you who prefer something lighter, thinner and more ergonomically-friendly.
