Meta has expanded its smart eyewear ambitions with the launch of Meta Glasses, a new range of AI-powered glasses developed in partnership with EssilorLuxottica. Starting from US$299, the new collection aims to make Meta’s wearable AI technology more accessible, while marking the next step in a partnership that has already produced the Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta smart glasses.
Unlike its earlier collaborations with EssilorLuxottica, Meta Glasses are not tied to an existing eyewear brand. Instead, the collection is sold under Meta’s own name and comprises three frame families – Adventurer, Fury and Starfinder – across 26 different styles, with a mix of prescription, clear and sun lenses available. In its press release, Meta says the new range has been designed to offer a broader variety of looks while lowering the entry price for AI-powered eyewear.
