LEGO is set to retire well over 100 sets next month, and some of the best sets of the last few years are on the chopping block. One of the best times to buy a LEGO set at a discount is just before it gets officially retired, but that’s also when it’s most likely to go out of stock. We’ve already seen the popular Legend of Zelda Great Deku tree disappear at every major retailer well ahead of its retirement date, and several other sets have followed suit.
If you’re wondering which sets are actually retiring on July 31, I’d recommend checking out this handy guide from Brickset. I’ve used it as a guide to pull out some of the most notable builds that are still in stock and actually discounted for Prime Day right now. There’s a number of great sets for adults discounted that will likely sell out before Amazon’s sale ends.

It’s incredibly affordable at this price and is absolutely delightful as a desk accessory. There’s also the Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi set, which is arguably one of the coolest Nintendo sets available. Our LEGO editor Chris Reed built that one and absolutely loved it.
