SINGAPORE – Two people were taken to hospital after they were hit by a falling tree while travelling in bad weather on the SLE on the night of Oct 24.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to a road traffic accident on the SLE towards CTE, before the Lentor Avenue Exit, at about 10.10pm that day.
Two people were taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, SCDF said.
National water agency PUB had issued an alert at 9.21pm on Oct 24, warning people to expect heavy rain over many areas of Singapore from 9.45pm to 11.15pm.
Dashcam footage posted on Facebook shows three motorcycles travelling on the right-most lane of an expressway in the rain.
A tree in the central divider then falls onto the right-most lane.
