SINGAPORE – A 25-year-old woman was on Oct 24 charged with trafficking 100 Kpods after being questioned by the police this week.
Low Hui Mei, allegedly possessed the etomidate-laced pods at the void deck of Block 7 King George’s Avenue on Oct 22 for the purposes of trafficking, charge sheets stated.
She was discovered when police officers conducted checks in the area, said the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) in a statement on Oct 24.
Police found the vape pods on Low and alerted HSA officers, who seized 11 vapes and 101 pods from her.
Low’s case was adjourned to Oct 31. She is in remand and will be taken out for investigations, according to court records.
An offender can be jailed for between two and 10 years, and receive between two and five strokes of the cane for trafficking Kpods.
Women cannot be caned.
