Man takes woman’s $11 spring chicken from behind her back at Yishun coffee shop, police investigating

“She stood beside the table while waiting for her food to be prepared, but a guy took the spring chicken and left.”

Alvin told Stomp that the chicken cost $11.

CCTV footage of the incident shows Alvin’s mother placing a plastic bag on the table.

A man seated at the same table is spotted turning around and looking at the plastic bag. He then gets up and appears to look inside the bag before taking it and walking away.

Alvin’s mother can be seen looking around in confusion after noticing that her things are gone and asking other coffee shop patrons about it.

The Stomper added: “According to eyewitnesses, they mentioned that the guy lives in the same area.”

In response to a Stomp query, the police confirm a report was lodged and investigations are ongoing.
