Lego’s 2024 2,500-piece set based on The Legend of Zelda’s Deku Tree is about to retire. So if you’ve been sitting on the fence about dropping $300 on the brick-based recreation of Nintendo’s famous talking tree, here’s some extra motivation: the Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set is largely sold out, and finding one is about to become much, much harder, especially as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time fever intensifies.
The Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree set is a two-in-one homage to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The set offers two alternative builds, one based on the Nintendo 64 classic and the other on its similarly groundbreaking open-world sequel released on Nintendo Switch and Wii U. The set also includes two minifigure versions of Link, plus Young Link and Princess Zelda minifigs.
Both Lego.com and the Nintendo Store are sold out of The Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set, though a small number of physical Lego retail stores appear to have the set in stock. Retailers like Walmart and Barnes & Noble show the set in stock, and you should check your favorite local retailer if you’ve got $300 burning a hole in your tunic pocket.
With a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the way this year and a live-action Zelda movie in the works for 2027, there’s bound to be renewed interest in Lego Zelda sets. There is an alternative to Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set as well; Lego and Nintendo released The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time — The Final Battle set earlier this year. The 1,003-piece, $129.99 set imagines the classic confrontation between Link, Zelda, and Ganon in Lego brick form, and is readily available.
