Pokemon Center Singapore reopens with Solgaleo mascot

Pokemon Center Singapore will officially reopen on 1 July, following its temporary closure in April for what Pokemon Singapore previously described as the first major Pokemon Center revamp outside Japan.

No surprise why the Pokemon Solgaleo was chosen to be Pokemon Singapore’s newest mascot.

The refreshed store will feature a redesigned interior inspired by Singapore’s heritage and everyday culture, continuing the company’s efforts to localise the retail experience for fans here. As part of the revamp, the Legendary Pokemon Solgaleo will become the store’s new symbolic mascot, replacing Charizard as the face of the outlet. Visitors will be greeted by a large Solgaleo statue at the entrance, while the store’s logo and facade have also been updated to reflect the change.

Beyond the visual makeover, the revamped store will also include a dedicated event space equipped with a large-format display. The new area is expected to host activities centred around Pokemon video games, trading card tournaments and other community events, according to Pokemon Singapore.

Pokemon merchandise

New commemorative merchandise will be launched together with the store’s reopening.

To mark the reopening, the store will launch a range of commemorative merchandise inspired by a Singapore-themed Pokemon cityscape. The first wave of products, available from 1 July, includes items such as a Pikachu plush holding a durian, logo pins, metal plates and other collectibles. A second wave of merchandise is scheduled to arrive in August, including a bag charm featuring Pikachu enjoying a cup of kopi.

Crowd control measures

Fans planning to visit during the first few days should be prepared for crowd-control measures. From 1 to 5 July, entry between 10am and 1pm will require an advance reservation, with application details to be announced via Pokemon Singapore’s official Instagram account at a later date. Visitors arriving after 1pm can instead obtain same-day queue tickets, which will be distributed on-site from 8.30am each morning on a first-come, first-served basis.
