Smartphone snatchers may soon have one more reason to avoid the iPhone.
According to 9to5Mac, Apple is developing a new anti-snatching security feature that can automatically lock an iPhone the moment it is forcibly taken from a user’s hand.
The feature is believed to leverage the iPhone’s onboard sensors, including the accelerometer and motion sensors, to detect sudden movements consistent with snatch-and-run thefts.
