PlayStation Days of Play: Deals on games, gear & PS Plus

PlayStation Days of Play is back on, and in case you missed out on it last year, it’s a two-week period of new deals and content throughout the PlayStation platform. This means discounts on peripherals, games and PlayStation Plus, alongside new tournaments with prizes. And this year, it’s running from 27 May to 10 June.

Discounts on PlayStation Gear

Out of all the new discounts, the marquee deal would probably be the S$140 off a PlayStation VR2, which now goes for S$509 (U.P. S$649). Put in percentages, that’s a 21% discount, and you can get in on that deal on Sony’s store here – though it’s currently on backorder.

And finally, Sony’s PlayStation audio gear is also getting its own discounts:

Unfortunately, the PS5 itself is not discounted – no surprise, we guess, given that price hikes for the consoles only kicked in earlier in May.

Over 700 PS4 & PS5 Games on Sale

Alongside the peripherals, you can also find deals on digital games via the PlayStation Store. There’s over 700 games that are going on sale, and those are just the full standalone games – if you include bundles, DLCs and add-ons, it totals to over 2,000 items discounted.

That’s a lot, but the ones we want to highlight include familiar and acclaimed titles, alongside some newly released AAA games:

Again, though, the deals number in the thousands, so chances are you’ll find a deal on that game you’ve been thinking about trying out. And while all the games we listed above are for PS5, there’s also over 500 PS4 titles (again, not including add-ons) on sale, so there’s still lots to look at even if you haven’t made the ninth-gen jump.

PS Plus Deals

If you’re not a PS Plus member already, or if you’re looking to upgrade the tier that you’re currently on, it might not be a bad idea to get in during the promotional period. 12-month subscriptions are discounted across all three tiers of PS Plus:

• Essential – S$71.12 (20% off)
• Extra – S$107.17 (25% off)
• Deluxe – S$113.83 (33% off)

It’s important to note that there are no deals for the 1-month or 3-month subscriptions, however. You can purchase the discounted 12-month subscriptions of PS Plus straight from the Days of Play website here.

Regional and Global Tournaments

Finally, there are a series of tournaments happening on PS5 titles until 10 June. While the list of games varies per region, for APAC (including Singapore), the games are:

• EA Sports FC 26
• NBA 2K26
• Tekken 8
• Asphalt 9: Legends
• Gran Turismo 7
• Astro Bot
• Fortnite (Days of Play PlayStation Cup)

Three titles (Gran Turismo 7, Astro Bot and Fortnite) will have their specific challenges operate on a global leaderboards system. The other six on the list will have regional 1v1 tournament challenges. 

For games with those 1v1 tournaments, you can view the ruleset and register for the tournament via Game Hub. Meanwhile, the specific rulesets for the three games with leaderboards can be found here. Prizes for the winners of each 1v1 tournament, and the global leaders for the Astro Bot and Gran Turismo 7 leaderboard-based competitions, are as follows:

• One PlayStation DualSense Edge
• One 12-month PlayStation Plus Deluxe subscription (PS Plus Premium for those outside APAC)
• One PlayStation Portal Remote Player
• A PS Store Gift Card worth US$100

The total approximate retail value of all four prizes are S$839.27. You might have also noticed that the Fortnite leaderboard participants aren’t included in the above list – the prize for that competition comes from a separate US$200,000 global cash prize pool.

And even if you don’t manage to come out on top and get all the prizes, as a consolation, you can also get a limited edition Days of Play avatar if you complete one full online challenge from the above titles.
