Casio has just launched the G-Shock GA-2100CC-3A, a limited-edition watch designed in collaboration with The Coca-Cola Company to celebrate Coca Cola’s 140th anniversary.
The new watch is based on Casio’s popular GA-2100 series, which is known for its slim profile and octagonal bezel design. But unlike the standard models, this version is decked with Coca-Cola’s branding and visual identity, right down to the bottle-inspired details scattered across the watch.
According to the press release, Casio says the bezel and band colours were inspired by Coca-Cola’s contour bottle, the curved glass bottle design first introduced in 1915. The influence goes beyond colour too, with the day indicator hand meant to resemble the iconic bottle even the band loop carries fluted patterns meant to resemble the grooves of the said bottle.
