Google is expanding Quick Share’s AirDrop compatibility to more Android devices while also introducing a smoother migration experience from iOS to Android.

Quick Share expands to more Android partners

Google announced that Quick Share’s AirDrop-compatible sharing will roll out to more Android devices this year, including models from Samsung, OPPO, OnePlus, Vivo, Xiaomi, and Honor. The list of compatible devices is:

  • Samsung Galaxy S25 and S24 series
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7, Z Fold7, Z Flip6, Z Fold6, Z TriFold
  • OPPO Find X8 series
  • OnePlus 15
  • Honor Magic V6 and Magic 8 Pro

Fear not if your device is not on the list because Google is introducing an alternative cloud-based sharing method. Android users will be able to generate a QR code through Quick Share, allowing files to be transferred to iOS devices via the cloud without requiring native AirDrop compatibility.
