Our family finally tried @灌记砂锅 , Singapore’s first claypot specialty restaurant in Chinatown, and the hype is real! The queue was massive, but the food made every minute worth it. We started with the Red Hawthorn Pork Ribs – perfectly sweet, sour, and tender without sticking to your teeth. The Hong Hu Lotus Root Soup, simmered for 3 hours, was a hit with the kids; the lotus root was incredibly powdery and the broth so rich! The boldest part? Their “Tastes Bad, No Pay” guarantee. No questions asked! We also loved the Chongqing Spicy Chicken (with chewy mochi!), the silky Black Truffle Scrambled Egg, and the massive Super Huge Ice Lemon Tea. We ended the night at the Free DIY Dessert Station.
