Vivo X300 Ultra officially launches in Singapore with 1TB storage available

The Vivo X300 Ultra just launched globally, making it Vivo’s first-ever Ultra-series smartphone to go beyond the Chinese market and into international markets (Sounds familiar? That’s because it’s the same situation for OPPO, too).

Coming to Singapore with the Vivo X300 Ultra is its separately sold teleconverter kit, which adds more zoom range to its ZEISS-powered lenses. Before we touch on that, here are the confirmed details of the Vivo X300 Ultra (after months of teasing).

Vivo X300 Ultra and its ZEISS Master Lenses Collection

The Vivo X300 Ultra is a photography-first, premium flagship-grade Android phone, touting a ZEISS Master Lenses Collection for its rear camera modules.

That is the collective name for its 85mm (telephoto), 35mm (main), and 14mm (ultrawide) lenses, and it doesn’t yet include the two teleconverters from its optional Photographer Kit, which consists of the 400mm Vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra and the 200mm Vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2.

Vivo calls the 85mm lens ZEISS Gimbal-Grade APO Telephoto Camera. It’s a 200MP Samsung HP0 sensor with 60FPS AutoFocus tracking to tackle sports, wildlife, and concert photography. Also included is 3° gimbal-level Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) to minimise handheld blur when shooting. The Super Blue Glass lens also comes with ZEISS T* coating to reduce flare.

The main camera is its 35mm ZEISS Documentary Camera. While it’s a traditional range for cameras in general, it’s uncommon among smartphone main cameras, which usually have a 23-28mm zoom range. Inside is a 200MP, 1/1.12-inch Sony LYT-901 sensor (the same sensor as the OPPO Find X9 Ultra’s main camera).

The 14mm ZEISS Ultra Wide-Angle Camera has a 1/4.-inch, 50MP Sony LYT-818 sensor with OIS as well.

The two teleconverters support 200MP optical output photos at 35mm, 85mm, 200mm (with the 200mm tele) and 400mm (with the 400mm alternative). They also pack 60FPS AF Tracking to help with its stabilisation and accuracy. Of particular note is the 200mm teleconverter, which is now much lighter at 153g when compared to its 210g predecessor.

Finally, Vivo also added a 5MP Color-Sensing Camera, which is a 12-channel multispectral and flicker sensor that grants additional colour data and spectral detection to hone its light-reading components. Vivo claimed that the colour science is benchmarked against professional cameras.

Additional modes include Vivo Color Palette for colour manipulation in photos and videos, and colour presets. The main camera has an updated Street Photography 3.0 algorithm and SuperRAW support for post-production. Both the telephoto (85mm) and main (35mm) also have added optimisations for skin textures in Portrait mode photos.

The imaging pipeline has 10-bit HDR processing, while videos can go up to multifocal 4K120FPS 10-bit for both Log and Dolby Vision formats.

Still a premium flagship Android phone at the centre

Like the other 2026 Ultra phones in Singapore, Vivo X300 Ultra has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Additional chipsets include Vivo’s Pro Imaging Chip VS1+, which is further aided by a Liquid Cooling Vapour Chamber for sustained performance during multifocal 4K120FPS video recordings (and other tasks).

The 6,600mAh battery supports 100W wired FlashCharge and 40W Wireless FlashCharge, with added temperature controls to prevent overheating.

To the front is a flat 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, 4,500-nits peak brightness, and 2K resolution quality. Vivo upsells it by calling it a ZEISS Master Color Display, promising that it is a worthy viewfinder for its kitted-out camera system.

Other hygiene factors that contribute to its premium positioning include IP68 and IP69 ratings against dust and water, a 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanning 2.0 sensor, and a Snap-Up Engine communication feature that prioritises computing resources for network readiness when the phone realises you’re trying to buy tickets to a popular concert or sporting event.

Onboard is the international version of OriginOS 6, making it the second flagship-tier bar-type smartphone from Vivo in Singapore to use its true operating system out of the box (the first was Vivo X300 Pro), instead of its old Funtouch OS. Vivo said the Vivo X300 Ultra offers five years of OS upgrades and seven years of security maintenance.

What’s included in the Photographer Kit?

The Vivo X300 Ultra Photographers Kit is unlike other teleconverter kits from other brands. Its most notable difference is that it offers not one but two teleconverters: the aforementioned 400mm Vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra and the 200mm Vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2.

Other components help to drive these zoom extenders. The phone case pairs with a grip that includes physical controls and a shutter button, and Vivo also packed in a lens adapter ring, a filter adapter ring, and a mount ring so you can keep your mounting options open. Both the 400mm and 200mm extenders each get their own dedicated lens caps and tripod ring, and the phone strap comes with a quick-release buckle for added convenience.

The inclusion of two teleconverters is likely why the bundled price for a Vivo X300 Ultra with Photographer Kit is S$800 higher than that of a standalone Vivo X300 Ultra handset. Also, it shows that the teleconverters cannot be bought separately from the phone, since the bundle already includes one Vivo X300 Ultra.
