At Fire City [Gym], we don’t just train, we show up for the community”, Lim, who trains individuals with disabilities, told Mothership. “Guiding athletes like Pei Pei and BK is just a natural extension of that belief”. Over the weekend, Lim also raced with BK, another visually impaired athlete under his program. It was Lim’s first time racing on two consecutive days, and one of his biggest concerns was his voice. “As a guide, our voice carries everything, direction, assurance, confidence. I had to make sure my energy stayed high and my tone stayed calm and steady, so they could trust every cue I gave throughout the race”. #mothershipnews #fyp #sg
