Located in the center of Southeast Vietnam, Tay Ninh is quickly rising to prominence as a major travel destination. The province, which is well-known for its spiritual legacy and abundance of natural beauty, benefits from a key location that links Ho Chi Minh City, neighbouring provinces, and even Cambodia. Tay Ninh’s appeal to both domestic and foreign tourists is growing as a result of its distinctive location, which is also opening up a plethora of opportunities for the region’s service industry, especially in the hotel and lodging industries.

Tay Ninh has turned its attention to enhancing its lodging infrastructure in order to meet the rising demand as the number of tourists rises. The goal is to support the growth of ecotourism while offering more varied and sustainable lodging options that showcase the region’s cultural diversity.

Accommodation Infrastructure: The Key to Growth

A major part of Tay Ninh’s strategy to boost its tourism profile lies in the development of high-quality accommodation facilities. With picturesque landscapes like Ba Den Mountain, the tranquil Dau Tieng Lake, and the iconic Cao Dai Holy See, the province offers a variety of attractions that are drawing increasing numbers of tourists. To fully leverage these assets, Tay Ninh has embarked on an ambitious plan to enhance its accommodation offerings, making the region more attractive to both business and leisure travellers.

Several significant hotel projects have already been launched. The Vinpearl Hotel Tay Ninh, located in the heart of Tan Ninh ward, is one such high-end development, offering 5-star amenities and convenient access to major tourist attractions. Along with these luxury accommodations, mid-range hotels like Victory and Sunrise are also gaining recognition for their excellent service and central locations. These hotels provide essential services for both short-term tourists and business travellers who wish to explore the cultural and natural landscapes of Tay Ninh.

Additionally, homestays and farmstays near Ba Den Mountain and Dau Tieng Lake are catering to the growing demand for authentic, locally rooted travel experiences. These accommodations offer visitors a chance to connect with nature and local traditions while experiencing sustainable living practices, which are increasingly valued by younger travellers.

Meeting the Demand with Quality Accommodations

As Tay Ninh continues to attract more tourists, the need for additional accommodation facilities is becoming more urgent. According to official reports, the province currently has 966 tourism-related accommodation establishments. This includes one 5-star hotel, two 3-star hotels, and 17 2-star hotels. While these numbers are promising, they are still insufficient to meet the demands of the over 5 million tourists that visit Tay Ninh annually, particularly during major festivals and large-scale events.

To address this, the local government is working actively to encourage investment in the hospitality sector. There are specific calls for high-end hotels and resorts that align with the province’s local identity, ensuring that the region’s cultural values are preserved while offering modern, luxurious amenities. At the same time, the promotion of eco-friendly accommodation models is being prioritised, catering to the growing global demand for sustainable tourism options.

One of the most exciting new developments in Tay Ninh is the Hilton Garden Inn Tay Ninh. This project, slated for completion by December 2025, will feature 24 floors, multifunctional spaces, a conference centre, retail areas, and restaurants, in addition to offering 4-star hotel rooms. This ambitious development is expected to significantly boost the province’s tourism infrastructure and attract both international and domestic visitors.

Emphasizing Sustainability and Community-Based Tourism

Beyond the development of large-scale hotels, Tay Ninh is also focusing on creating a more sustainable tourism model. The region is integrating eco-friendly practices into its accommodation sector, with some homestays near Dau Tieng Lake already adopting renewable energy sources and waste recycling initiatives. These practices not only reduce the environmental impact of tourism but also enrich the visitor experience, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and sustainability.

Community-based tourism is also being promoted as a way to foster deeper connections between visitors and the local people. By integrating agricultural experiences and local traditions into the tourism product offering, Tay Ninh is tapping into the growing demand for immersive, responsible travel experiences. This approach aligns with global trends in tourism, where visitors are increasingly seeking to support communities and contribute to the preservation of local cultures and environments.

Collaborating for a Brighter Future

The development of Tay Ninh’s tourism infrastructure is not just about building hotels and attractions; it’s also about building a sustainable tourism ecosystem that benefits both visitors and the local community. The provincial government is working closely with the Tay Ninh Tourism Association and local business owners to ensure that all stakeholders are involved in the development process. This collaboration is essential for creating a balanced, sustainable tourism model that will continue to thrive long into the future.

A key part of this effort is the creation of a seamless tourism network that connects rural tourism sites with major travel routes. By improving accessibility and creating well-maintained infrastructure, Tay Ninh aims to establish a sustainable tourism model that supports both regional growth and environmental preservation. This vision is also reflected in the province’s ongoing efforts to uphold the “civilised tourism behaviour” guidelines, ensuring that all tourism activities are conducted in a responsible and respectful manner.

Looking Ahead: Tay Ninh’s Tourism Future

Tay Ninh is poised to emerge as one of Southeast Asia’s most vibrant travel destinations thanks to its striking landscapes, rich spiritual legacy, and growing emphasis on sustainable tourism development. A solid basis for future expansion is provided by the region’s expanding lodging industry and dedication to protecting the environment and regional customs.

Tay Ninh will keep seizing new chances as the travel and tourism sector develops, establishing itself as a major participant in Vietnam’s travel market. The province is positioned to emerge as a must-visit location for tourists looking for a genuine, sustainable experience in the heart of Vietnam, thanks to the backing of local authorities and a flourishing business community.
