SINGAPORE – A 21-year-old male motorcyclist died in hospital after a multi-vehicle accident on the AYE towards Tuas on March 31.
A female pillion rider, 19, was also taken conscious to the hospital after the accident, which involved three cars and a motorcycle.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the accident that occurred after the South Buona Vista Road exit at about 6.45pm.
In a video of the aftermath on messaging platform Telegram, at least three cars can be seen amid debris that appears to be from a motorcycle strewn across the expressway.
Several police vehicles and the Expressway Monitoring and Advisory System (EMAS) Vehicle Recovery Service are also at the accident site.
A section across three lanes on the expressway appears closed because of the accident.
