Dell’s new Pro P monitors are built for the office you actually work in

The camera itself supports AI auto-framing, which tracks the user and keeps them centred on screen as they move around, along with dual beamforming AI noise-cancelling microphones to filter out background noise. Two 5W built-in speakers round out the audio, and the monitor also supports Picture-in-Picture, Picture-by-Picture, and USB KVM functionality, allowing users to control multiple computers with a single keyboard, mouse, and display.

On the display side, the P3426WEB offers a 3440×1440 WQHD resolution at up to 100Hz on an IPS panel with a 3800R curve, a 1500:1 contrast ratio, 99% sRGB colour coverage, and a TUV Rheinland 4-star eye comfort certification. The panel is flicker-free with hardware-level low blue light technology, which Dell says reduces harmful blue light emissions to 35% or below without visibly affecting colour accuracy.

It is worth noting, as some industry observers have pointed out, that the 5MP webcam integrated here is actually a step down from the 8MP cameras Dell is fitting to some of its new Pro laptop range. So if video call quality is the primary concern, there is an argument that a high-end Dell Pro notebook already delivers a better camera than this monitor does. That said, the integrated speaker and microphone setup, combined with the Teams-specific hardware controls, makes the conferencing monitor a meaningfully different proposition to a laptop screen alone.

Connectivity is genuinely strong across the lineup. The P3426WEB includes a USB-C upstream port with DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode and up to 90W power delivery, an HDMI 2.1 port, a DisplayPort 1.4 input, two USB Type-A 5Gbps downstream ports, a USB Type-B upstream port, a front-facing pop-out USB-C port with up to 15W charging, a front-facing USB Type-A port, and an RJ45 Ethernet port with 1GbE connectivity. In practice, that means a single USB-C cable from a laptop can charge the machine, push video to the monitor, and connect it to a wired network and a full set of peripherals simultaneously.

For open-plan offices or shared spaces where built-in speakers and microphones are less desirable, Dell is also offering the Dell Pro P 34 USB-C Hub Webcam Monitor (model P3426WEV). This is essentially the same device with the same panel, the same Sony Starvis 5MP camera, and the same connectivity, but without the built-in audio. The display specifications are identical: 34.1 inches, 3440×1440, 100Hz, IPS, 3800R curve, and a 350 cd/m2 typical brightness. It makes sense as an option for anyone who already has their own headset or speaker setup and does not want to pay for hardware they will not use.

The third monitor in the Pro P family announced alongside these two is the Dell Pro P 27 USB-C Hub Monitor (model P2726HE). This is a more conventional productivity display, sized at 27 inches with a 1920×1080 Full HD IPS panel running at up to 120Hz. It lacks the conferencing features of its larger siblings but offers the same USB-C hub functionality, including up to 100W power delivery, RJ45 Ethernet, and daisy-chain support for up to four monitors via DisplayPort. The 120Hz refresh rate gives it noticeably smoother scrolling than a standard 60Hz office monitor, which is a genuine everyday improvement.

One feature of the P2726HE worth highlighting is its Silent Firmware Update capability. Dell says the monitor completes firmware updates up to 90% faster than standard and does so silently in the background during periods of inactivity, with no reboots, alerts, or interruptions required.

Pricing and availability

All three monitors are available globally now. Dell says that pricing for the monitors will vary by region and that buyers should check with their local Dell representative for confirmed pricing. locally, the Dell Pro P 27 USB-C Hub Monitor is available at S$369.00, while the Dell Pro P 34 USB-C Hub Conferencing Monitor and the Dell Pro P 34 USB-C Hub Webcam Monitor are priced at S$1,019.00 and S$789.00, respectively.

Whether the conferencing monitor’s price point lands well will depend on how organisations value an all-in-one setup versus piecing together separate webcam, speaker, and microphone components. For buyers who want simplicity and a tidier desk, the value case is straightforward. For those who already have quality audio hardware, the Webcam Monitor variant at a lower price point may be the more sensible call.
