Samung Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G are now available
Samsung has announced its 2026 mid-range and entry-level mobile phones for the Singapore market: Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G, respectively.
Samsung’s Galaxy A-series phones are the company’s mass-market, affordable alternatives to its premium Galaxy S-series phones (like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra we reviewed).
According to Samsung, the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G are getting up to six generations of operating system and long-term security support.
It doesn’t sound like much if they were less-intelligent phones, but the 2026 Galaxy A-series handsets are getting Galaxy AI features and tools, which are largely reliant on software optimisations or OS updates.
Right out of the box, both phones carry their latest One UI 8.5. That gives access to Galaxy AI tools like:
- Voice Transcription (for meetings, call recordings, etc.)
- AI Select (with drag and drop)
- Object Eraser (for photo editing)
- Best Face (for selfies) Filters (first debuted in the Galaxy S25 series)
- Edit Suggestions (photo editing based on computational metrics)
- Circle to Search with Google
- Google Gemini built-in
- Upgraded Bixby with natural language support (similar to Galaxy S26 series)
- Auto Trim for Galaxy A57 5G (automatic video snippet editing)
Also, Samsung didn’t forget to give hardware upgrades to both devices.
Hardware to keep up with your software
Both the Galaxy A57 5G and the Galaxy A37 5G have triple rear cameras, with a 50MP, f/1.8 aperture main camera. On paper, it’s similar to previous models, but the 2026 ones have an improved image signalling processor (ISP), which also upgrades the phones’ Nightography (low-light shooting) capabilities.
