How to Get Eevee and All Eeveelutions in Pokemon Legends Z-A

How to Get Eevee and All Eeveelutions in Pokemon Legends Z-A

Since its introduction in the Gen 1 games, Eevee has been one of the most popular Pokemon in the franchise. This is because the aptly-named evolution Pokemon can evolve into eight different forms, each of which has a different type and appearance. Given its popularity, it should come as no surprise to learn that Eevee and all eight of its Eeveelutions are available in Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

Better still, it’s possible to get all of the Eeveelutions within the first few hours of the game, ensuring that Pokemon Legends: Z-A players have close to full type coverage right from the get-go. Catching enough Eevees to get all eight of its forms will take no longer than sixty minutes and around 20,000 Pokedollars. This guide will explain the entire process.

How to Get Eevee in Pokemon Legends: Z-A

Players can catch Eevee in Wild Zone 19, but for those who don’t want to wait that long, there’s a way to get an unlimited number of Eevees within the first few hours of the game. After completing the three mandatory side quests for Emma, players will finally be free to explore Lumiose City, at which point, they should make their way over to Bleu Sector 5, which is in the southwestern portion of the map. They’ll want to look for the Nouveau Cafe Truck No. 2, which serves as one of several fast travel points in the sector.

To the left of the cafe truck is some scaffolding that players can use to get onto the nearby rooftop. They’ll want to climb across to the higher section of the roof in the corner, as that’s where Eevee spawns in during the daytime. It’s on a raised platform, which can make sneaking up on it difficult. However, it doesn’t really matter if players get spotted, as Eevee will quickly get distracted and turn around, allowing players to crouch down and move in for an easy back catch. Before attempting it, though, they may want to manually save the game.

Eevee will not despawn when players reload a save, and the game will only autosave if players catch or defeat it, so it’s possible to restart the game and take another shot at catching Eevee if it becomes enraged or if players run out of Pokeballs. Alternatively, players can jump off the roof and then climb back up to cancel Eevee’s aggro, although this method takes a little longer than reloading does and will result in players losing Pokeballs after each failed attempt. If players catch or knock the Pokemon out, another Eevee will respawn after five minutes.

Eevee will spawn on the Bleu Sector rooftop even if players are nearby, meaning it’s possible to AFK and wait for it to turn up. A new Eevee will spawn in exactly five minutes after the previous one is caught or defeated, so players can catch the eight Eevees needed to get every Eeveelution in under an hour. Players will hear Eevee’s cry when it spawns, so they don’t even need to be paying attention to the screen.
