Singapore police full-time national serviceman found with gunshot wound to his neck, believed to be self-inflicted


SINGAPORE: A 23-year-old full-time police national serviceman was found with a gunshot wound to his neck at 328 Pasir Panjang Road on Wednesday (Oct 15).

He was found alone by his teammates in a toilet at about 9pm, police said in a news release.

A check by ST shows that a Shell petrol station is located at the address.

The officer, who was on duty, was taken conscious to hospital. His service revolver and remaining ammunition were accounted for and seized at the scene.

No other person was injured.

Based on preliminary investigations, the wound was believed to be self-inflicted, and police said they do not suspect foul play.
