Mos Burger has apologised after a woman was taken aback to find burger buns lying on the floor at the fast-food chain’s 100 AM outlet on Oct 10.
Stomper Shermi shared photos she took of the buns and said: “I was passing by the MOS Burger at 100 AM and was shocked to see the buns lying like that.
“Although the buns were still in the wrapper, Mos Burger meals are not cheap and to think the food is being treated like this makes me reconsider patronising them.”
In response to a Stomp query, MOS Burger said it has investigated the incident and taken steps to address it.
“The buns were delivered before our outlet began operation and were placed on the countertop,” a spokesperson said.
“However, due to the slippiness of the plastic, the top layers slid and dropped to the floor (outward facing).
“Our staff were busy in the kitchen and did not notice it until some time later.
“This should not have happened, and our staff should have attended to it promptly.”
The restaurant chain added that it is committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.
“This incident does not reflect the standard of cleanliness and attentiveness that we uphold,” the spokesperson said.
“We have addressed the issue with the outlet team, reinforced the importance of proper product handling, and implemented additional measures to prevent a recurrence.”
