One of my biggest gripes with using WhatsApp for group chats is that new members are left out of the action, in the sense that they cannot see recent conversations and what has been discussed.
Happily, WhatsApp is fixing this today with a new feature called Group Message History. But the way it works is slightly different. Unlike rival messaging apps, which might let new members have access to all that was discussed previously, Group Message History lets admins choose how much they want to share with new members.
