Apple’s most affordable iPhone model is likely to be refreshed in the coming days. Leaks point to a mix of familiar hardware and selective upgrades for the entry-level iPhone. Here’s a look at some rumoured specs:
Minor design change
While the iPhone 16E is based on the iPhone 14, the iPhone 17E is tipped to inherit the iPhone 15 design. Screen size is expected to stay at unchanged at 6.1-inches, but slimmer bezels may give the device a fresher appearance.
Notch or Dynamic Island
The iPhone 16E is currently the only iPhone in Apple’s lineup to retain the notch, but Apple is said to be planning a shift to the Dynamic Island. However, the added internal complexity and engineering demands suggest Apple might stick with the notch, at least until component costs come down.
