Woman jailed for possessing Kpod, first to be charged after failing to attend rehabilitation


SINGAPORE: A 23-year-old woman was sentenced to one week’s jail on Tuesday (Jan 6) for the possession of etomidate e-vaporiser pods, after she failed to attend rehabilitation.

This is the first case of someone being charged by the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) with a vape-related offence for skipping rehabilitation. 

Tang Yu Ling was caught on Sep 2, 2025, for possessing an e-vaporiser and pod found to contain etomidate.
