Epic Games has updated the Fortnite roadmap Trello page with the entire release schedule for 2026, letting players know when they can expect content patches and season launches. Fortnite has entered its seventh chapter and 35th full season, and Epic Games tends to change major aspects of the game whenever there is a new chapter, as these releases are much bigger compared to season launches. However, Chapter 7 Season 1, also known as Pacific Break, took it up a notch, as main elements were completely modified, such as how players land on the island and how Battle Pass pages are unlocked and redeemed.
Some players aren’t too happy about these changes, but it’s good to see Epic continuing to innovate and try new things to keep Fortnite fresh. In November, Fortnite had a spike in new and returning players with the launch of the Simpsons crossover season. Updates always pull in players that are curious to see what’s new, but the major island and loot pool changes that occur when there’s a season or chapter change take it up a notch, as the spike tends to be much more noticeable.
