A video showing a man allegedly covering the licence plate of his Singapore-registered car while pumping Malaysia’s subsidised RON95 petrol has gone viral online. According to Malaysian media outlet The Star, the incident is believed to have taken place on the night of Dec. 2 in Kulai. The Kulai police confirmed that they received a report on the incident at about 10am on Jan. 3. The case has been referred to the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry for further action. The police are also in the process of identifying the car’s owner, and will issue a summons if the owner is found to have committed an offence, The Star reported. Foreign-registered vehicles in Malaysia are prohibited from purchasing RON95 petrol and are required to use RON97 instead. #fyp #singapore #malaysia
