Ahead of the new year, developer Everstone Studio reveals its plans to continue expanding Where Winds Meet by releasing a full content roadmap for January 2026. Following the game’s launch on November 14, Where Winds Meet has continued to be popular with players, maintaining a healthy player base which, in turn, has pushed Everstone Studio to continue improving the game both with post-launch updates as well as new content and features. As it stands, players seemingly have a lot to look forward to in January 2026.
As the game approaches its two-month anniversary in January, Everstone Studio has already seen plenty of success with Where Winds Meet. Flying past major player milestones, the free-to-play MMO has already expanded to mobile devices in December and released an update that expanded the Where Winds Meet world by over a third. However, the constant release cycle of patches and content updates appears to be the norm for Where Winds Meet as Everstone Studio has released another weekly update schedule for the entire month of January 2026.
Where Winds Meet January 2026 Content and Feature Roadmap
In a new post on social media, Everstone Studio revealed another ambitious plan to keep Where Winds Meet growing and expanding for its players. According to the roadmap, players will have new things to do each week, with January 4 marking the start of the new content. On January 4, players can increase the game’s World Level to 10 of the Solo Play Level in Where Winds Meet. Essentially, Solo Play Level is how players progress through the world of the Main Story, and level 10 will unlock Unbound. In addition, January 4 also sees the launch of Hero’s Realm: Sorrow of Mortalbound, an end game, 10 person activity.
Week 2 starts on January 8 with Update 1.2, adding new Legacy Quests while also unlocking the Kaifeng Campaign. Players can challenge a new World Boss in Where Winds Meet called the Nameless General, while a new limited-time event called the Jianghu Martial Games begins.
For Week 3, players can put their brains to the test with a new Puzzle Cave called Mistveil Prison. In addition, additional Guild-based content for Where Winds Meet is arriving on January 16, large-scale 30v30 Guild vs. Guild battles. Finally, on January 22, the game will again be expanding with a new region called the Nine Mortal Ways Base, which appears to be on the smaller side of things like an instance rather than something similar in size to the Roaring Sands.
Finally, for Week 4, a new story called Whispers Beneath the Moon will be unlocked on January 25. The month then ends with 2 special events kicking off on January 29, including the Year of Abundance and Season-End Dash. The events themselves appear to line up with the Chinese New Year, so many are speculating that the in-game event could resemble the event Everstone Studio held in January 2025 for Chinese players, which added new cosmetic gear, activities, mini-games, and more.
This new January roadmap shouldn’t be too surprising for fans, as Everstone Studio had a similarly ambitious plan for December 2025 in Where Winds Meet, one which saw the developer release new content each week of the month. Including the aforementioned mobile launch, players saw the Roaring Sands region and its own world bosses to fight join the game, alongside special limited-time events, and even a farmable PvE activity called the Scarlet Shock Sword Trial. For those who are interested in higher-end content like dungeons and raids, Everstone added Blazing Gale Dance, a 10-person cooperative activity last month as well.
